Kurt is the Owner/General Manager of Norway Hill Home Inspections. He has been in the Home Inspection industry for 5 years. In this role, Kurt looks at all aspects of a Home Inspection business. This includes conducting all the services we provide, training new apprentices, and helping the other inspectors on and off the job site in any way he can.
Kurt is a Licensed Home Inspector in both New Hampshire and Vermont. He also is licensed to conduct septic evaluations and is certified as a structural mold investigator.
Kurt is no stranger to Home Inspecting having achieved the industry’s highest certification, The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, Certified Master Inspector (CMI) designation.
Before starting Norway Hill Home Inspections 5 years ago, Kurt spent 30 years in Public Works and 25 years as a call fireman.
Kurt has always had an interest in helping people. He enjoys continuing to learn about all aspects of a home and has a passion for educating his clients. He specifically enjoys working with first time home buyers because he realizes homes can be quite foreign and a scary thing for many people. Leif Arvidson (rhymes with safe) joined the team at Norway Hill Home Inspections as Client Care Coordinator in September 2020. He brings years of experience in client services to our team, and is licensed to make you smile. Eager to answer your call, Leif looks forward to helping you schedule your next home inspection. As a homeowner in New Hampshire for 30 years, and a father of two, he understands how critical a thorough home inspection is to a successful purchase decision, especially when moving a young family. Having recently watched his adult daughters buy homes of their own, Leif also appreciates the peace of mind a quality inspection provides. In Leif’s free time, he loves the outdoors, and in 2019 hiked 600 miles of the Appalachian Trail with his wife. Always on the lookout for a hearty smorgasbord, he enjoys good food with a side of good conversation. His other favorite activities include carving spoons, fishing, barbershop singing, gardening, and growing Christmas trees. Leif and his wife currently reside in Harrisville.
has been with Norway Hill Home Inspections since 2016. He was the first home inspector added to the company in the first year of business, and has since become the lead inspector for the team. In December 2020, Josh achieved all requirements for Certified Master Inspector as defined and accredited by InterNACHI (The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and received his Certified Master Inspector designation. The Certified Master Inspector criteria require three years as a licensed inspector, and at least 1000 inspections, which Josh has generously surpassed.
Josh is licensed to conduct home inspections and septic evaluations in New Hampshire and Vermont, and is certified to collect mold samples, complete wood-destroying insect reports, conduct water and radon testing, and recently added lead dust clearance testing, as well.
Before joining Norway Hill Home Inspections, Josh worked for the Town of Hancock, NH, where he was responsible for grounds maintenance. He has always been interested in the trades and enjoys continuing to learn about all aspects of a home. He has a passion for educating his clients, and specifically enjoys working with first-time home buyers to help eliminate their fears of homeownership and the great unknowns.
Josh grew up in Hancock and currently resides in Milford. In his spare time he likes to unwind at the gym, go fishing, and occasionally play video games. Let us know if Josh can assist you upon your next home purchase.
Ricky is a Home Inspector with Norway Hill Home Inspections. He has been in the Home Inspection industry for 3 years. In this role, Ricky looks at a variety of aspects as a Home Inspector. This includes conducting many of the services we provide. Ricky helps other inspectors on and off the job site in any way he can.
Ricky is a Licensed Home Inspector in both New Hampshire and Vermont.
Ricky is no stranger to Home Inspecting having hit over 372 inspections in November. 2019.
Before joining Norway Hill Home Inspections, a year and a half ago, Ricky worked in the home industry for over a decade. In 2011, Ricky earned his degree in building construction technology.
Ricky has experience in all phases of custom home building with most recent years focusing on cabinetry and finish work. Ricky enjoys working with Clients and Agents, he realizes homes can be quite foreign and a scary thing for many people. Wayne Swanson joined Norway Hill Home Inspections in August of 2023 and is excited about the multi-state opportunities we offer as a tri-state home inspection company. He also looks forward to sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for buildings and their structure, and enjoys providing top-notch customer service.
Wayne is currently licensed to perform home inspections in New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as mold, radon, pest and water tests. He is also certified to perform level 2 chimney inspections, and has just obtained his drone license issued by the FAA to assist with that. Wayne has worked hard to obtain certification through The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, which is an intensive training program for members of the home inspection industry.
In order to serve our expanding clientele as widely as possible, Wayne continues to add certifications and licenses, as he is currently working toward his Septic Evaluator’s license in New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as his home inspector’s license in Massachusetts.
Before starting with Norway Hill Home Inspections, Wayne worked for 20 years in corporate compliance in retail, and more recently moved into obtaining his licenses and certifications for the home inspection industry, and working on his own.
Wayne lives in Athol, MA, with his wife and two children, and is quick to include his two German shepherds and a cat, who are very much a part of the family. In his downtime he enjoys tinkering with anything mechanical, any DIY projects around the house, or indulging in his favorite show, This Old House, which has helped inspire his path.
Dan Lindsay joined the inspection team in the fall of 2023 and is working his way through the steps required to obtain multiple licenses. He is currently licensed to conduct Lead Dust Sampling, to set Radon Air meters, and to collect water samples, and will soon be licensed to conduct both home inspections and septic inspections in New Hampshire and Vermont.
Dan joins Norway Hill after earning valuable experience in the building profession working as a handyman and performing maintenance on commercial and residential buildings.
In Dan’s free time he enjoys traveling and visiting new places with his girlfriend, Jayde, and spending time on the lake during the summer and skiing in the winter. He also enjoys woodworking, making furniture, and working on and repairing cars, boats, etc.
Tearyn Belanger joined the team in the fall of 2023 as our Community Engagement Specialist. Before joining our team, Tearyn worked at AirMar in Milford where she was a team lead for the test and pack department.
Tearyn’s position at Norway Hill Home Inspections will have her connecting with real estate agents and potential clients throughout New Hampshire and Vermont to educate them about our services, and to get to know the agents in the communities we serve. She will represent the company at many Realtor office and Board events as an affiliate member, and help the company stay connected with our referral sources. Being a people person, she is most excited about the opportunities this position offers and looks forward to bettering and growing her marketing skills.
The prospect of growth at Norway Hill is also of great interest to Tearyn, and even obtaining her home inspector’s license with the company is not out of the question.
Tearyn currently lives in Peterborough with her fiance, Nathaniel, and enjoys fishing, four-wheeling, and relaxing with her pups. She is also a skilled artist and creates beautiful wood-burning art in her free time.
Sandra Stahl has worked with Norway Hill Home Inspections since almost the start and has watched it grow to what it has become today. She joined Kurt and Jen shortly after its inception and currently works in Client Care Services helping with booking inspections, mailings, and numerous administrative tasks to reach out to our clientele and referral sources.
